In recent years the Recife ex Kystvern was used as a Training Vessel for the Norwegian Navy.

To this end, since her arrival in Australia she has been chartered by TAFE for use as part of the Integrated Rating training, programmed for training seafarers in the Australian Shipping Industry.

The vessel is manned by an experienced crew and is well equipped with all the features of a small cargo ship which ultimately lends herself to all aspects of seafarer training within port limits or 12 pupils offshore.

With a range of 4,000 nautical miles, distance is no object to reach teaching institutions within Australia or worldwide.

With over 40 years seagoing experience in all aspects of shipping and seamanship Captain Clive is available to assist and encourage seafarers in their new careers.
